Biography

POISED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Kelly Killick-Smit was born in Saskatchewan but has lived in Alberta most of her life.  She is a wife, mother, daughter and sister in addition to 20+ years of Event Planning and Tourism and Hospitality experience.  A resident of High River for a collective of 16 years (minus 2 years spent in Indiana) and enjoys living in a small town.  Engaged as the Vice Chair at Rowan House Emergency Shelter and having served on Parent Council both here and in the US, on the board of the Newcomers Club in Indiana and the Business and Tourism Advisory Committee in High River, community involvement is very important to her.  Kelly has a degree in Political Science and Communications earned at the University of Calgary.  Giving back to our community is of utmost importance to Kelly and the best way to do this is through involvement and investment of time.  She has worked with community groups, volunteers, and staff and her volunteer relationships have been some of the most rewarding of her career to date.  Kelly is looking forward to serving our community and making decisions that benefit our citizens and future.
